Is it preferable to keep pencils sharp, dull, or in between when laying down large areas of color? I've noticed blunt Prismas make a highly texturized look on my bristol board, but sometimes sharp ones tend to make uneven fills. Any thoughts on this?

i prefer to have the pencil dull, otherwise i run into that uneven fill problem like you've mentioned. i tend to not sharpen my pencils all the way, so they're kind of slightly blunt at the top
